The ideal candidate will have a degree in a technical field from a top-tier university and outstanding programming skills in C++ and Perl/Python. This position will entail involvement in many aspects of the trading desk, ranging from data manipulation and reporting to analytics.A healthy exposure to some subset of the following is required: maintenance and manipulation of large mortgage data sets; building and maintenance of risk systems/reports for the strategy; interaction with mid- and back-office personnel to ensure proper booking and reporting of trades; estimating quantitative mortgage models; and helping build mortgage analytics systems. Excellent communication skills are a must for this role.
